Name: Mark Saxby

Position: Sales and Marketing Director

Then: My background is in the marketing communications industry. I was with Saatchi & Saatchi for nearly 10 years during which time I moved from the advertising side of the business to become Managing Director of Saatchi & Saatchi Design. After a very enjoyable time, I decided to move North and joined Poulters where I was Managing Partner with responsibility for certain key clients as well as the online and design part of the business.

Role Now: I am responsible for the new business, proposal and business development work that we do for new and existing clients. I am also responsible for areas such as our pricing policy, key account strategy and corporate brand strategy. In addition, my focus is to work with our teams and our clients to add value from a creative and strategic marketing perspective.

I am also on the Eventia Board, the Events Industry Association in the UK.

Favourite event destinations: Vienna, Monaco, Las Vegas

Outside of work: I have four chidren under 9 so they keep me fairly well occupied. Otherwise, I enjoy rough garden work, tennis, a very poor game of golf and following Newcastle United.
