Position: Business Director Then: I began my event career managing events from an academic research perspective on behalf of the University of Bradford. My clients included the Metropolitan Police, Department of Social Services and the Home Office. I managed these conferences and scientific meetings throughout the UK for over five years. I then moved to WorldEvents in 1997 and am currently Business Director with responsibility for a range of the company’s clients. Role Now: As a Business Director I am responsible for our existing clients making sure that we provide the service that they expect and that our events make an impact. This involves working closely with each client to help them achieve their goals and objectives by strategically aligning ourselves to understand their business. I am also responsible for supporting the Sales & Marketing team with new business proposals and building client relationships. Favourite event destinations: Brussels, Istanbul Outside of work: I collect Denby pottery, play the cornet at a professional level and am an avid film buff (when I am not travelling!). I also have a home base in Eastern Europe. |
