Marie Clare-Swallow, WorldEventsName: Marie Clare-Swallow

Position: HR Manager

Then: My early career started in Retail Management, working for the John Lewis Partnership but I soon moved to a career in HR, working initially for the Prudential before relocating to West Yorkshire and taking on a stand-alone role for a family owned and managed bakery, Ainsleys of Leeds Ltd. From there, I chose to specialise in Employment Law and worked for a privately owned company which subsequently got taken over by the blue-chip organisation, Croner Consulting.

Role Now: I joined WorldEvents at the beginning of 2005. I am responsible for the development and implementation of the company's HR strategy, encompassing the full remit of reward, training and development, employment relations, recruitment, resourcing and welfare.

Outside of work: I am married with two young children which keep me extremely busy but when I am not playing nursemaid and chauffeur, I enjoy going to the gym and catching up on some adult conversation and social time with my husband and friends.
