WorldEvents: Winners of Eventia ITM Platinum Award

WorldEvents was the winner of the Eventia ITM Platinum Award and three Gold Awards for its South African event to celebrate the centenary of pharmaceutical client, Norgine.

Eventia is the industry body for the events industry and its ITM Awards for international events are widely recognised as carrying the highest accolade.

The Platinum Award, reserved for the project deemed the ‘best of the best’ from the Awards’ 17 Gold winners, was presented to WorldEvents for creating this highly motivational conference and incentive travel programme held in South Africa.

Eventia Executive Director, Izania Downie, said, "UK event organisers lead the world in producing events that are spectacularly creative and logistically challenging. The Eventia ITM Awards throw the spotlight on the intelligent and sensitive use of overseas locations, together with application of best practice in disciplines such as corporate social responsibility and evaluation of outcomes. Year-on-year they raise the bar for the entire industry".

WorldEvents collected its three Gold Awards for the Norgine event as Best Long Haul Conference, Best Celebratory Event and Best Event Demonstrating Corporate Social Responsibility.

The panel of judges comprised a total of 21 from the agency, corporate and consultancy sectors.

WorldEvents Executive Chairman, Graham Keene, said, 'We always believed the Norgine event had all the ingredients to do well, it really was a truly emotive event for all involved and we are absolutely delighted it has been recognised in this way'

Commenting on the awards, Martin Parry, Managing Director added, “It is great to be recognised by the industry and we are delighted the awards follow so soon after our winning the Eventia CE Gold Award for Best Use of a Small Budget.”
