WorldEvents Feature in Power 50 Chart
Graham Keene, Group Executive Chairman of WorldEvents, has recently been voted number 36 in Conference & Incentive Travel magazine’s ‘Power 50’ article, which focuses on the most influential individuals in the events industry over the past 12 months. The Power 50 is voted for by contemporaries and peers as well as an expert panel of judges from across the industry. Keene’s entry at number 36 follows yet another extraordinary year at WorldEvents, who saw a number of key account wins in 2007, opened our new European Office in Amsterdam in January 2008 and swept the board at a number of award ceremonies throughout the year cementing our vision to become one of the leading international events agencies in the world. The magazine entry reads as follows: Another successful year for Keene’s WorldEvents agency was characterised by three factors: major account wins, international expansion and the agency’s continued commitment to CSR. Keene has overseen a year that saw WorldEvents land business from the likes of Heinz, Philips, DEFRA, Britvic Soft Drinks and Grunenthal Pharmaceuticals, while January saw the firm open its first mainland European base in Amsterdam. On the CSR front, it built on its award-winning community-led events of 2006, with its own triple bottom line reporting system and commitment to industry initiatives. |
