WorldEvents™ Expands European Office
After 12 months in Amsterdam, the WorldEvents™ European team continues to expand. The start of 2009 sees two key Account Manager appointments; Zoe Adam and Pantea Shafie, who join Andrew Winterburn, European Development Director and a multilingual account team. The office has become a nucleus for growing the business in mainland Europe and is being supported by a number of satellite offices in key markets. Zoe has worked in the events and communications industry for the past 7 years. Prior to joining WorldEvents™ BV, Zoe worked as a Senior Project Manager with Lyon based Package Organisation, a division of GL Events. Zoe was responsible for managing an event team that delivered events ranging from 120 – 4000 delegates, for a number of key clients including leading pharmaceutical companies. As Account Manager, Zoe will be responsible for managing a team of event specialists who deliver events for key EU office clients. Pantea has 12 years experience in marketing communication and live events. Prior to her appointment at WorldEvents™ BV, Pantea spent 4 years as an Event Manager at French MICE specialist ABAKO production, working with a range of clients such as PSA Peugeot Citroen, KPMG, the European Commission and the Health & Ministry of Justice. Before joining ABAKO, Pantea worked for 8 years as a marketing communications manager within a selection of specialist independent companies. Pantea’s principle role will be to manage and oversee a dedicated European account team providing an outsourcing service to a leading pharmaceutical company. Karen Tkach joins WorldEvents™ BV as office manager. Prior to joining WorldEvents™; Karen worked for a global medical communications agency for more than 25 years as an editorial project manager, head of the editorial department and Senior Program Manager. As a Senior Program Manager, Karen was responsible for the management and execution of international and pan-European medical communication projects for a wide variety of clients in the healthcare industry. The expansion of the team, increasing our European credentials and a growing list of clients means we can consistently deliver events that really make an impact.” Since opening in 2008 the team have already coordinated events in destinations such as Munich, Paris, Barcelona, Lyon, Chicago, Leiden, Pisa, Utrecht, Shanghai, Stockholm, Amsterdam, and Seville for clients such as Astellas, Abbott Vascular and Johnson and Johnson.
