Global Growth Fuels Senior Management Changes at WorldEvents™
Following the opening of new offices in 2009 in Germany, Switzerland and Hong Kong to add to its existing presence in the UK, US and the Netherlands, WorldEvents™ is announcing some key changes to its senior management line up. As a result of the changes Graham Keene moves from Executive Chairman to Group Chairman and Martin Parry steps up from UK MD to Group Chief Executive Officer. Keene maintains responsibility for the overall Group vision and specifically for the Group’s recent development into the Asian market. As Chief Executive, Parry will be responsible for implementing the Group’s strategy and delivering the bottom line growth of the business. Reporting into Parry will be Mark Saxby, who becomes Group Sales and Marketing Director, Jeremy Wilson, Group Finance Director, and Andy Tattersall Group Operations Director. Andrew Winterburn, European Director and Gary Dickinson, US CEO will also report into Parry and continue to be responsible for the Group’s fast growing European and US operations respectively. Commenting on the changes Graham Keene said, ‘WorldEvents™ is now an established global events agency and we need a management structure that continues to deliver the excellent results of the past five years but equally is able to grow with the business as we develop further our international offer.’
Martin Parry added, ‘I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to lead the profitable development of our core businesses on an international level, despite the challenging nature of the markets we are operating in. I look forward to working with the senior team to deliver our objectives and to continue to offer our clients a seamless WorldEvents™ service throughout the world.’ The changes have been announced to the company’s staff and are in place with immediate effect.
