Keene in Conference and Incentive Power 50
Graham Keene, Group Executive Chairman of WorldEvent s, has recently been voted number 25 in Conference & Incentive Travel magazine’s ‘Power 50’ article which highlights the most influential individuals in the events industry over the past 12 months. The Power 50 is voted for by contemporaries and peers as well as an expert panel of judges from across the industry. Keene’s entry at number 25 follows yet another extraordinary year for WorldEvents, who saw a number of key account wins in 2009, opened three new offices in Germany, Switzerland and Hong Kong and swept the board at a number of award ceremonies throughout the year, including the prestigious Eventia ‘Agency of the Year’ Award, cementing their vision to become one of the leading international events agencies in the world. The magazine entry reads as follows: Keene led WorldEvents to a year of financial and CSR success when rival agencies struggled with both. The agency’s turnover skyrocketed 41% to £30.3 million in 2008. It also won a number of pharmaceutical accounts and continued its European expansion.
