WorldEvents™ Awards Prize to Outstanding Student

Yorkshire based live events agency, WorldEvents™, presented award-winning Leeds Metropolitan University graduate Lena Brockmann with a £500 travel bursary at the university graduation ceremony in July 2008. The bursary can be used towards furthering Lena’s career in the conference and incentive industry after she was named winner of the WorldEvents™ Student of the Year award on the Event Management Degree Course.

The sponsorship of the prize by WorldEvents™, the largest local employer in the event management field, highlights a growing professional relationship between Yorkshire businesses and universities. Leeds Metropolitan University was one of the first universities to offer a degree course dedicated to event management.
