UK Centre for Events Management Student of the Year
Yorkshire based live events agency, WorldEvents™, presented award-winning Leeds Met graduate Nicole Masterman with a £500 travel bursary at the university graduation ceremony in July 2008. The bursary can be used towards furthering Nicole’s career in the conference and incentive industry after Nicole was named winner of the WorldEvents™ Student of the Year award on the Event Management Degree Course. The sponsorship of the prize by WorldEvents™, the largest local employer in the event management field, highlights a growing professional relationship between Yorkshire businesses and universities. Leeds Met was one of the first universities to offer a dedicated event management degree and is now the UK Centre for Events Management.
