
BP Appoint WorldEvents™
WorldEvents™ is delighted to announce its appointment to BP's events roster for a two year period. The agency will be one of six responsible for all BP's events emanating from its operations based in the UK. The process started in January and culminated in a presentation to a large panel with a final decision being made known to participants at the end of September. Jodie Beers, Sourcing Specialist, Europe, said "We met with 40 companies in order to arrive at our roster. Several stakeholders from across the business were involved in the process including a large number in the final presentations." Commenting on the appointment, Mark Saxby, Sales and Marketing Director of WorldEvents™ said, "This is a great win for us and we are delighted to be working for an organisation of the size and reputation of BP. We are particularly proud of our accomplishment as we are the only newcomer in the line up" Saxby went on to say, "At a time when there has been a fair bit of criticism of companies and their selection processes I think BP should take a lot of credit. Our first point of contact as a new agency to BP was a face to face meeting as opposed to having to submit a 100 page document via a piece of software. BP then followed up on references before asking to make written submissions."
